Governance


The Black Pear Trust was incorporated in March 2014, ahead of the school conversion of Gorse Hill Community Primary School to become Hollymount School, Worcester on 1st June 2014. 

Following a lengthy academy conversion process, Fairfield Community Primary School joined the Trust on August 1st 2017, and became Carnforth School.  St George’s CE Primary School in Kidderminster joined in September 2019, at which point the Trust became a Mixed Multi Academy Trust (MAT) , which can include church and non-church schools.

Later in April 2021 both The Orchards School and Upper Arley CE Primary School joined the trust. On 1st December 2023, then Honeybourne Primary Academy joined the Trust and became Honeybourne Primary School. On 1st September 2024, the Trust welcomed two further schools; Brockhampton Primary School and Woodrush High School; bringing the total number of schools in the Trust to eight.
